Enrique Gomez, a freshman who joined the Taft College Men’s Soccer team as a center back at the beginning of this season, has been highlighted by his teammates as an outstanding player and teammate. Enrique came to Taft College from Strathmore to continue playing the sport he has loved for over 14 years.
On the field, Enrique is a leader and plays hard until the very end of the game. Off the field, Enrique notes that sometimes balancing life as an athlete and life as a student can be difficult. But he is sure that he is up to the task.
A Spanish major, Enrique plans to continue his education after Taft College and work to become a Spanish teacher. Enrique has already made memories with his team and is proud of his first win as a college athlete. Enrique’s work ethic and leadership are sure to be skills that will help make him successful now and in the future.
