    Sophomore Allie Dobbs homered in her third consecutive game, her state-leading ninth of the season, to account for all of Taft College’s runs in a 9-3 loss in the opening game of a Central Valley Conference doubleheader against Reedley College on Tuesday. The second game didn’t go the Cougars way as well, as Taft lost 8-4.
  • Taft Women’s Volleyball earns CCCAA Scholar Team Award

    Taft College student-athletes are not only winners on the field (or on the court in this case), but also in the classroom. The women’s volleyball team is a perfect example as the 2017 squad was recently named a Scholar Team by the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).

    The Taft College home field hasn’t been kind as of late. On Sunday, the Cougars suffered their fourth straight loss at home, dropping a non-conference doubleheader to College of the Siskiyous. Taft fell in the opener by a final score of 9-4 and lost the second game, 8-5.

    GLENDORA - Taft College sophomore catcher Allie Dobbs and Mt. San Antonio College sophomore pitcher Briana Wheeler are the the 2019 California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Week #3 Player and Pitcher of the Week. Dobbs earned the honors after a big doubleheader against Gavilan College, while Wheeler took home the award thanks to three straight strong outings against some of the top teams in the state.

  • Cougars come up short in doubleheader losses at Canyons

    Taft College had its two-game winning streak snapped, dropping a doubleheader set at College of the Canyons on Friday afternoon in Santa Clarita. The Cougars rallied late in the opener but fell by a final score of 10-8. The afternoon came to a close with an 11-3 loss in six innings.
