The TC baseball team traveled to LA Mission College of Sylmar looking to avenge last week's tough home loss in the ninth inning. Cougar ace pitcher Tyson Canfield got a shaky start on the bump tossing just 3.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits and 3 walked batters. Seth Sorensen, Kyler Shiflett and Bryan Santiago got work out of the bullpen in later innings.
Taft scored 4 runs on 9 hits. Kaivon Kealoha collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats, both were singles. Travis Turner and Quintin Nakamura both went 2-for-4. Brendan Halstrom and Dayton Wilson collected Taft's only two RBI's. Taft's other two runs were scored on a balk, and an early break play with runners on 1st and 3rd base in the fourth.
Taft will look to bounce back on February 25, when they travel to Hartnell College of Salinas.
