The Taft College baseball team has proven to be an impressive group of young men. Touting 16 wins against 5 losses, with multiple TC baseball players sitting on the Central Valley Conference statistic leaderboards. But when they aren't representing Taft College on the field, they are making relationships in some of the most unlikely places.
During a weekend trip, the team met Coach Mike Adamson, an employee at Angels Stadium. The team spoke with Coach Mike about baseball and about life. Coach Mike, touched by the kindness of these young men, made sure to take a photo with the team and reach out to Coach Maiocco saying, "their gesture will be never forgotten."
The Taft College baseball team made a lifelong friend and fan out of Coach Mike and this serves as a touching reminder that athletics is about much more than wins or losses, but about the attitude you carry with you on and off the field.
