Former Players

2015       Enrique Garcia – California State University, San Bernardino

Enrique played defensive mid and helped lead the team to another CVC title. Enrique had the ability to slow the game down and distribute the ball offensively from a defensive position, often hitting accurate long balls to streaking outside mids or early crosses to the forwards. Enrique also earned a starting spot at right-back on the 2014 team that made it to the State Finals.

2015       Aldahir Perez - University of California, Irvine

Alda was our team captain and a very good utility player. He played multiple positions and was able to master each one. Truly a team player, Alda put his body on the line every game to insure victory. Alda lead the team to a CVC title and another playoff birth. Alda was also a huge role player for the 2014 team that only lost one game and made to the State Finals. Alda was part of the 2015 CCCSCA All-Region Northern California Team.

2015       Axel Cruz - California State University, San Bernardino

Axel was a hardnosed, physical player that played right-back. Axel had a skill set that allowed him to contribute in other roles for the team when needed and he would sometimes play outside mid. Axel brought such a high level of physicality and defensive technique that he was able to shut down some of the state’s best forwards. Axel was also a huge role player his freshman year on the 2014 team. He got the assist, in overtime, on the winning goal that propelled Taft to the State Finals.

2015       Zachary Satton - San Diego Christian

Zach played goalkeeper and came to Taft having already played a year of soccer at another college. Zach had good size, strength, heart, and a true blue collar mentality on the soccer field. Zach was a big part of the team and always willing to give everything for the success of the team.

2014       Ruben Alvarez - California State Univerisity, Fullerton

Ruben played defensive mid and was a general on the field for a 2014 team that was 21-1-2 and one of the best teams in the nation. Ruben was CVC MVP and a West All-Region player. His field awareness, technique and work ethic was unmatched. He controlled the game from start to finish both defensively and offensively.

2014       Ramon Chavez - California State University, Fullerton

Roman played sweeper and was the "rock" in the defensive line. He had a very calm demeanor and was never rattled when he found himself in pressure situations. He was called upon several times to save us in tight games by lending help on the offensive side of the ball scoring 9 goals and assisting on 2 others, all from the backline. Ramon was a great leader and captain, he was great player on the field and an even better person off of it. Ramon was 1st team CVC and Defensive Player of the Year.

2014       Oscar Torres - California State University, Fullerton

Oscar played forward, he was very smart and crafty on the ball. He was a major problem for opposing defenses, when he wasn't scoring he was assisting. A great playmaker from the forward position, Oscar helped dictate the pace of the game and was a big reason why our possession game was so potent. Oscar finished the season earning CVC 1st team award and Offensive player of the year.

2014       Edgar Rodriguez - California State University, Fullerton

Speed, strength, power and a great will set Edgar apart from other offensive mids. He was relentless in his attacking mindset that combined with the want to put immediate pressure on an opposing defense, which made the game easier for the rest of his teammates. Edgar was a captain and one of the hardest workers on the team. His freshman year he was 1st team CVC and CVC Most Valuable Player. His sophomore year he was 1st team CVC and Midfielder of the Year.

2014       Diego Casillas - California State University, San Bernardino

A quick and relentless outside mid, Diego always made sure to put his imprint on a game. His speed and stamina on the flanks allowed him to constantly break down the opposing team and get service into the box. He was always up for a challenge sometimes even filling in as forward and when needed. Diego was always in attack mode and was more than a handful for any defender but what set Diego apart from others was is will to play defense for the team. Diego was a top midfielder in the conference earning a CVC 1st team award.

2014       Trevon Demison - California State University, Northridge
