Julian Orozco, Baseball

Taft College sophomore Julian Orozco was named the Week 10 Northern California Pitcher of the Week by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA).

Orzoco, a left-hander out of Robert F. Kennedy High School in Delano, was recognized for his impressive start on the mound against Reedley College on March 28. Orzoco tossed eight scoreless innings while allowing just four hits. He struck out five batters and walked just one in helping lead the Cougars to the 8-3 victory.

Orozco has won his last two starts and improved to 4-4 overall this season (As of April 10). He's totaled 51 strike outs over 63 2/3 innings and currently has a 3.11 ERA.
