Taft College Athletics Signing Day

TAFT, CA – On Wednesday, May 15, the Taft College Athletic Department premiered its annual Signing Day for all student-athletes.

The event started at 3:00 p.m. in the Al Baldock Cougar Sports Center. Many coaches, student-athletes, faculty, staff, and administrators attended, along with family, friends, media representatives, and fans of Cougar Athletics.

All were there to witness the official signing of several student-athletes who have made an official decision to continue their academic and athletic careers at the four-year level.

Student-athletes highlighted to sign were:

Holden Moreno, Men's Golf—Tabor College (NAIA)

Melanie Mejia, Women's Soccer—Upper Iowa University (NCAA Division 2)

Stephany Castillo, Women's Soccer—Upper Iowa University (NCAA Division 2)

Emilio Gonzalez, Men's Soccer—University of Hawaii Hilo (NCAA Division 2)

Jesse Lubiniecki, Baseball—Florida National University (NAIA)

Laie Keahi, Softball—Mississippi Valley State University (NCAA Division 1)

Grace Witcher, Volleyball—San Francisco State University (NCAA Division 2)

Sutton Thompson, Volleyball—Friends University (NAIA)

Jayde Gonzalez, Volleyball—Friends University (NAIA)

Natalie Castillo—Friends University (NAIA)
