Two Taft College Baseball Players Sign on to Next Level

TAFT, CA – Owen Hayes and Eric Godinez of Taft College Baseball have signed their letter of intent to play at the four-year level.

First baseman and outfielder Owen Hayes of Palmer, Alaska has committed to The Master's University in Santa Clarita, CA. Hayes was a 2024 First Team All Central Valley Conference First Baseman and a 2023 Second Team All-Conference outfielder.

Initially, Hayes accepted a preferred walk-on invitation from CSU Bakersfield in November. However, with the recent coaching change at CSUB, Hayes decided to look elsewhere and signed with The Masters University.

Right hand pitcher Eric Godinez of Las Vegas, Nevada is moving on to Benedictine Mesa University in Arizona. Godinez was the 2024 Taft College MVP and made All Central Valley Conference Second Team as a relief pitcher.
