Today the Taft College Cougars hosted a conference match vs Fresno City College. The Cougars fell short vs the Rams as they lost 2-1. Both teams were unable to score in the first half. The Cougars scored on a penalty in the 87th minute to make it 1-1. Christian Cabrera was fouled inside the box and received a penalty kick that was taken by Leopoldo Hernandez, he buried it in the net. In the 90th minute Fresno was rewarded a penalty kick and scored to make it 2-1. The Cougars are now in second place in conference trailing behind Fresno. The Cougars will now prepare for a busy week next week as they play 3 games next week. They take on American River Tuesday, San Bernardino Friday, and Folsom Lake for a Saturday game.
