Texas Guard Joins Taft College 2025 Women’s Basketball Recruiting Class
TAFT, CA – Summer recruiting for Taft College Women's Basketball is still active for the 2025 recruiting class. Head Women's Basketball Coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr. has received another commitment from a junior college transfer.
Cougar Country welcomes Jada Miller who will enter this upcoming season as a sophomore point guard transferring from National Park College in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Miller appeared in 26 games during the 2024-2025 season. National Park is a NJCAA Division II program competing in Region 2 where they won the conference championship.
Coach Lagmay shared his comments, "Adding Jada to the upcoming roster just added great depth to our backcourt. Jada is a threat from 3-point range and has a solid IQ of the game, where passing is part of her forte. She has competed at a high level for the last three years and I believe she will help us tremendously."
A 2024 graduate of Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas, Miller was a two-year varsity starter where she averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 5 assists her senior year. She was also voted Newcomer of the Year, Fight Heart of the Year, and First Team All-District in 2024.
Miller expressed her thoughts as well, "I chose Taft College because of its strong sense of community and commitment to academic excellence. I feel like I could really thrive there."
