Irey shoots 87 to lead Taft at home tourney

The 2021 Taft College women's golf season is in full swing and on Tuesday, sophomore Alyssa Irey shot a team-best 87 to lead the Cougars in Conference Tournament #4. The event took place at Buena Vista Golf Course in Taft.
With only four players on the roster, the Cougars were unable to earn a complete team score. Also turning in cards for Taft on Tuesday, sophomore Isabella Salazar Martinez shot 112, followed by freshman Belen Delgado at 117 and sophomore Aylinne Narvaez-Torres at 138.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday (Mar. 4) when they travel to Kingsburg for a conference tournament at Kings River Golf & Country Club. The event is set to begin at noon.
