Taft College Golfer Faith Hamstreet Qualifies for State Championships
TAFT, CA – Taft College golfer Faith Hamstreet continues to impress on the course, finishing third overall in Big 8 Conference scoring with an impressive 78-stroke average for the season. She followed that performance with a first-place finish at the Big 8 Northern Conference Regional Tournament, firing rounds of 73 and 72 for a two-round total of 145 (one under par).
With the victory, Faith has qualified for the California Community College Women's Golf State Championships, which will be held November 16–17 in Solvang, California. Her hard work, consistency, and determination have paid off as she is peaking at the right time heading into the biggest event of the year.
"Faith has been a steady leader for us all season," said TC Head Women's Golf Coach Tom Olejnik. "Her work ethic and competitive drive have really stood out, and it's exciting to see her efforts pay off with a trip to the State Championships."
