TAFT, CA – The Taft College Cougars, the women's soccer team, experienced a challenging start to their season with a loss to the Sierra Lady Wolverines on August 29, 2025. The match held at Taft College witnessed the Cougars falling 6-1 despite the hot weather that set the stage for an intense day of soccer.
The game started positively for Taft, with Faith LeLouis scoring the first goal and giving the Cougars an early lead. However, the game's momentum quickly shifted when Sierra responded robustly. Julissa Camolinga's game-winning goal in the 16th minute set the pace for Sierra, who then dominated the match.
