State Ranking for Taft College Women’s Soccer
TAFT, CA – Third year Taft College Head Women's Soccer Coach Lyle Martin, Jr. has made a big impact this 2025 season. With only two weeks left in the regular season, the Lady Cougars Soccer team has found themselves rewarded for their recent success, being ranked #20 in the 3C2A state polls.
Taft is also ranked #7 in the north polls. Currently, their record is 10-6-1. There are 3 regular games left in the season and the Cougars are 3rd in the Central Valley Conference.
Coach Martin commented, "These ladies have been working extremely hard to improve this season. Not just on the field, but off it as well. They've done a phenomenal job of coming together as a true team: lifting one another up, holding each other accountable, and choosing unity over individual recognition. They haven't been chasing results, they've been committed to the process, trusting that the work will produce the outcome. I couldn't be prouder of their focus, their consistency, and their dedication to representing what it truly means to be a Cougar."
