The final showdown ended with Taft emerging victorious, scoring 3-2 against their formidable opponents.
The match opened with a closely contested first set where Ohlone edged out Taft with a 29-27 score. The Cougars bounced back in the second set, taking it 25-17, demonstrating resilience and effective teamwork. The Cougars dominated the third set, winning 25-9. Ohlone did not give up as they managed to pull ahead in the fourth set with a 23-25 win, setting the stage for a decisive final set. In a gripping conclusion, Taft secured the match with a 15-13 victory in the fifth set.
