Taft College Cougars Triumph in Central Valley Conference Volleyball
The Taft College Cougars clinched a superb victory against the College of the Sequoias Lady Giants on October 3, 2025. Demonstrating dominance from the start, the Cougars sealed the deal in straight sets, winning 3-0, enhancing their impressive season record to 16-2. This pivotal match was held in Visalia, CA, marking another crucial win in their Central Valley Conference campaign.
The match commenced with the Cougars setting a solid pace, overcoming the Lady Giants with a 25-19 score in the first set. The second set followed a close contest, with the Cougars narrowly securing a win at 25-21. In the third set, the Cougars showcased their prowess and teamwork, comfortably winning 25-15 and thereby finishing the match with a clean sweep.
Key player performances significantly influenced the outcome. Jazzahlei Satele was the standout player, remarkably achieving 19 kills and 4 blocks, along with 11 digs, driving both the offensive and defensive plays. Jazlyn Juarez and Vienna Perier contributed with 5 kills each, ensuring the team's strong offense throughout the match. On the defensive end, alongside Satele, Havi Valdez and Ku'ulei Manaois both added 2 blocks each.
