TC Women’s Volleyball Recognized on Academic State Honor Roll

TAFT, CA – In 2024, the Taft College Women's Volleyball team had an outstanding fall season. They were ranked in the state top 20 and had a second place standing in the Central Valley Conference.

This year the Lady Cougars are ranked #5 in the state and have a chance to be #1 in the conference. However, it's not their accolades that are visible from their numerous victories, but it's the academic achievement that is tagging along.

Last season, there were five women's volleyball student-athletes who placed honors on the 2024 Academic All-State team: Shyanne Yamada, Grace Witcher, Sutton Thompson, Amber-Tania Makainai, and Natalie Castillo.
