Taft College Cougars Clinch Victory in Final Conference Volleyball Game Against Porterville Pirates

The Cougars set the tone from the outset, with the first set ending in a commanding 25-8. Maintaining their momentum, they wrapped up the second set 25-9. The Pirates tried to mount a comeback in the third set, narrowing the margin somewhat, but Taft clinched the set at 25-13, showcasing not only their offensive strength but also their solid defense.

Player performances were a highlight of the evening with Jazzahlei Satele leading her team with 11 kills, followed by Havi Valdez and Shylah Pulu-Valdez contributing significantly both offensively and defensively. The defensive efforts saw standout performances with Havi Valdez, Ku'ulei Manaois, and Shylah Pulu-Valdez each adding 2 blocks to keep the Pirates at bay. On the service line, Railye Makainai-Kon and Jazzahlei Satele each scored 3 aces, contributing to a strong service game that troubled the Pirates throughout the match.
