Taft College Volleyball’s Satele and Perier Earn Prestigious 3C2A Postseason Honors
Taft, CA — The Taft College women's volleyball program proudly announces that Jazzy Satele and Vienna Perier have earned top postseason recognition from the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) following an outstanding season for the Cougars.
Jazzy Satele was named a 3C2A All-State Selection and earned a spot on the State All-Tournament Team, highlighting her impact as one of the premier players in the state. A dynamic outside hitter, Satele embodies everything you could want in a leader and competitor. She brings unmatched energy, poise, and confidence to every match, setting the tone for the Cougars with her relentless work ethic.
Over the season, Satele collected 491 kills, 4.43 kills per set (fourth in the state), hit an impressive .310, .47 blocks per set, .62 aces per set, and 3.89 digs per set.
Offensively, Satele is a powerhouse, delivering explosive and precise attacks that consistently put opponents under pressure. Defensively, she is equally impactful, reading the court with sharp instincts and making clutch plays both at the net and in the back row. Her consistent ball control anchors Taft College's serve receive and allows the Cougars to transition seamlessly into their offense.
Satele carried a significant load for the team throughout the season and handled that responsibility with remarkable resilience. When the Cougars needed points in critical moments, she consistently rose to the occasion. As the heart of the team, Satele led by example, elevating the level of play of those around her through her leadership, consistency, and competitive drive. Her faith, character, and servant-hearted approach toward her teammates further define the type of student-athlete she is, making her a truly deserving All-State honoree.
Joining Satele in postseason recognition is Vienna Perier, who was named a 3C2A All-Region Selection after a remarkable season as one of the most versatile players in the state. Perier accumulated 2.2 Kills per set, hit .260, 3.61 Assists per set, .48 blocks/set, and 3.04 digs per set.
Perier recorded eight triple-doubles, a testament to her ability to impact the match in multiple ways, though her influence extends well beyond the stat sheet.
Perier contributes in every facet of the game—setting, blocking, serving, defending, passing, and attacking when needed. Her ability to step into any role and execute with confidence makes her an indispensable part of the Cougars' success. She consistently delivered in high-pressure situations, coming up with timely blocks, smart set choices, and clutch serves that shifted momentum in Taft College's favor.
Known for her calm, composed presence, Perier provides stability on the court while maintaining a relentless, go-getter mentality that motivates her teammates. Her leadership may not always be reflected in numbers, but her impact is undeniable.
