Taft Women’s Soccer Racks Up 2025 Postseason Awards
TAFT, CA – The Taft College Women's Soccer program finished second place in the Central Valley Conference this past 2025 season.
The Lady Cougars had an overall record of 14-7-1 and 12-4 in conference play. They lost in the first round of the 3C2A state playoffs.
With an impressive winning season for third year Head Coach Lyle Martin, Jr., the choice was obvious with numerous notable athletes that received post season recognition.
Sophomores Hayley Smith received Forward of the Year and Kiana Gordon Goalkeeper of the Year. Jasmine Partida was voted Freshman of the Year.
First Team All-Conference honors belonged to sophomores Alana Garcia, Faith LeLouis, Cali McFarland, and Ka'iulani Nishigaya.
Rounding out Second Team All-Conference were also sophomore members Dayana Martinez, Taleah Onsurez, Kayla Ramirez, and Vannia Rodriguez.
Coach Martin expressed his thankfulness, "I'm extremely proud of what these young women accomplished and who they became through the process. The season is over, but the foundation is set and the best part is, we're just getting started."
